At mosquito we make all our pieces one by one, by hand. For that reason each peace that we produce is unique. All mosquito jewellery is made of 925 sterling silver with an 3-micron golden bath of 18k.

GENERAL JEWELLERY CARE

All sterling silver jewellery purchased is water resistant although getting it wet will, over time, accelerate the fading of the gold colour.

We advise you to store your jewellery away from any exposure to sunlight and away from hot and/or humid places, ideally in a jewellery box or in the box we send it in.

To ensure that the gold plating is not damaged we advise not to expose the jewellery to water, perfumes, alcohol or other substances on a daily basis. If exposed to any of the above, the gold plating will, over time, fade and turn silver.

CLEANING THE JEWELRY

Cleaning is very easy; take a damp cloth, pour baking soda powder on it, and let the jewelry sit for a while. Afterwards, rinse them gently with water. It is not advisable to rub intensely as this can cause the color plating to fade.

We recommend that you clean all jewelry with baking soda powder every 6 months for maximum shine.

NOTE: 

Mosquito does not guarantee that your gold plated jewelry will last forever. Durability will always depend on how the piece is cared for. Gold plated pieces are, by default, more fragile and may lose their color over time. The rate at which gold plating fades will depend on multiple variables from the chemicals used for skin care, the level of perspiration or even the natural pH of your skin. For this reason, it is particularly important to take special care with your jewelry.
